This is a design and financial strategy that integrates myriad channels for brand-driven revenue. Set in downtown, Los Angeles, Chapman Market is rich in architectural details and a thriving food scene. The design focus is to enhance the existing culture with minimally invasive digital displays, while leaning on the iconic character that brands would want to invest in.

Opportunity Space
Chapman Market has a strong spirit of place that is sustained by an existing vibrant community.
Our strategy is to augment the existing richness of the development through a spectrum of architectural, event, and media touchpoints.
Architectural Lighting
Lighting enhances the inherent beauty of Chapman Market and can serve as a navigational cue for visitors. We suggest minimalist design solutions that build off of existing architectural attributes.
Murals
Murals offer daytime activation and site identity while also creating opportunities for brand voice. Crafting a representative Korea Town landmark will make this development the place to be.
Urban Courtyards
We recommend a simple courtyard design to maintain harmony with the historic architectural backdrop and culture.
Food and Beverage
Creating a centerpiece object that is visible from S. Kenmore Ave. entrance tunnel will connect the interior plaza to the streetscape.
Event Programs
Light up the site with annual lantern festivals and urban street food tastings.

This project is an assessment of experience and financial opportunities for three finalists in the San Jose Light Tower Competition to design an iconic landmark for the city. We analyzed the brand positioning for the designs and sought revenue opportunities through events, community outreach, and digital media.

Centennial Yards is a mixed-use development spanning 50+ acres in downtown Atlanta adjacent to the Mercedez Benz Stadium. The course of this project spanned multiple years, beginning with an analysis of the urban context and opportunities, a masterplan impact study, and then a series of financial strategies forcused on individual parcels that aligned with the development's phasing plan.

Urban Context and Opportunities Analysis
The workplace standard media for in person client presentations was large-format, printed boards (the old-school architectural model).

The focus of this research sprint was to explore market opportunties for increasing the breadth and depth of data-enabled brand touchpoints. Our team investigated a fully integrated design and tech stack that brings together many disparate hardware and software systems (IoT, mobile app, BMS, security, reservation management, elevator dispatch, etc.). Our framework was to map user journeys across different commercial real estate verticals, highlighting brand opportunities that provide visitor conveniences and delight.
